I HAVE A SECRET

He lost the title I have a secret but still had Will. He died here 9 years ago. The one book he left behind was The Beginning of the Heart. His son was a shadow. He didn't know how to write "shadow." He was one of the twelve people that were on the spiral stairway, which connected each floor of the archive. The twelve people really existed as six threefold beings, who were simultaneously going up and down. (ViLiSco, ViScoLi, LiViSco, LiScoVi, ScoViLi, ScoLiVi.) The archive hypothetically contained every book in the universe, because it contained every possible permutation of characters... But this infinitude was an illusion since in fact it only generated a new book, page by page, each time one was requested. There was a woman saying to him, "haven't you read the sacred texts?" There were two. In the archive he located, or generated, the Hymn of Tlaloc: "Go ye forth to seek me, seek for the words which I have said, as I rise, a terrible one, and cry aloud." And he found, or made, the Hymn of Huitzilopochtli: "When he shouts aloud he inspires great terror, the divine hurler, the god turning himself in the combat, the divine hurler, the god turning himself in the combat." The woman began to scream "GIVE ME THAT I'LL BURN IT" and stole the pages away. The woman was Mrs Lilly. In the book she saw it written, "Mrs Lilly is so silly," that was why she was mad. That page was a misprint, numbered 999 but inserted between pages 1 and 2. Between 1 and 2am, there was a shooting star. He had seen it already, in his dreams, so he called it déjà rêvé. That was the Beginning of the Moon.
